Ambedkar Study Centre


Our college has Ambedkar Study Center to keep alive the vision and progressive ideas of Babasaheb Dr B R Ambedkar, one of the great architects of constitution. The Center was inaugurated in the year 2015. The Ambedkar Study Center plans to create awareness regarding the lasting relevance of Dr B R Ambedkar. It believes that it is more productive to give students the chance to discover this for themselves. The college also conducts various activities like debate, poster-making and essay writing. Such competitions have become regular activities of the Center along with interactions with experts on Dr B R Ambedkar.

Vision

The Vision of the Center is to promote the ideas of Dr B.R. Ambedkar regarding the inclusive development of nation-building among the students, teachers and people at large.

Mission

The Mission of the Center is to develop appropriate programmes and activities to exercise Dr.B.R.Ambedkar’s ideas into practical propositions and policy instruments by supporting higher studies and extension services.

Objectives

  • Disseminating the ideas and thoughts of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to students and faculties of the college.
  • To enable the students to understand the relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s Ideas for the betterment of the poor and marginalized sections of the society.
  • To identify and recognize the contribution of activists and writers who have made significant contributions towards the mobilization of marginalized sections of the society and provide a platform for sharing their ideas and experiences

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Celebration of Dr.B.R Ambedkar’s Birth anniversaries.
  • Organization of one-day special lecturing Programme on Dr.B.R.Ambedkar.
  • Debate, Poster making and essay writing competition for the students.

Swami Vivekananda Study Centre


The Vivekanda Adhayana Kendra strives to motivate students to envision and build a stronger nation by adopting the tenets of Swami Vivekananda. The forum organizes lectures and seminar to instill awareness about the relevance of his ideas for today and tomorrow. It also attempts to make students discover by themselves the greatness of his thoughts and vision through conducting a variety of competitions.

According to Swami Vivekananda, Education as the manifestation of perfection already in a man. So our goal is to actualize Swami Vivekananda’s fundamental educational ideals of importing life-building, man-making and character building education.

Gandhi Study Centre


Gandhi Study Center aims to uphold the ideals of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The Center will explore the relevance of Gandhian ideology in the present world through seminars, workshops, lectures and exhibitions. Premised on the conviction that Gandhiji's philosophy has perennial relevance, the Center's continuous effort will be to locate his ideology in this day and age and catalyze the awareness that it is the answer to the present crisis. The Center's sustained thrust will be to analyze, study and inculcate in young people Gandhian ethics and the principles of truth, non-violence and self-discipline. Gandhiji's ideologies have influenced myriad spheres of human experience: politics, economics, education and nation-building etc. The Center provides opportunities to critically interrogate these ideas, and disseminate them, exploring at the same time, Gandhiji's relevance as a leader, motivator, nation-builder and role model.

Objective of the Center

  • To make the students strong-willed and engage in activities that teach them to co-exist in harmony, and having dignity, respect for all religions.
  • To work in coherence with the national objectives and the development of the youth.
  • To analyze Gandhian thoughts from different perspectives.
  • Establishing the relevance of Gandhian thoughts to solve contemporary problems.
  • To run Gandhian activities in such a way that, the center acts like a model for other forums.
  • To organize lectures, seminars, workshops and training programmes on Gandhian values and its contemporary relevance.
  • To observe the birth and death anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi in meaningful ways.
  • To network with like-minded organizations in propagating Gandhian values.
  • Promoting initiatives to create awareness about the life and message of Gandhi through educational media like exhibitions, films, posters.
